deCesare_Michele1.jpg - Michele deCesare This started as a pull-over, hooded sweatshirt. The plum and red accents are ultra-suede that I had originally used to make curtain panels. I created the flower by placing two pieces of ultra-suede, then solvy topping on top, and sewed along the swirl lines I had drawn on the topping with a sharpie. I cut off the hood, leaving enough to create a fold over collar with more of the ultra-suede. And cut down the middle, sewed 2 pieces of the plum fabric, turned them out, and finished with a straight stitch, and a zig zag stitch. The sleeves were simply folded, turned up (after cutting off the ribbed cuffs), and zig zagged. I cut the ribbed bottom off just below the seam line, and left it unfinished.
