| 259 | Carroll Thatcher The design concept was to create a wearable outfit that used recycled materials in an innovative and decorative manner. I chose a vest, kameez (tunic) and skirt. The vest features three elephants, mother and baby on the back and a daughter on the front. The “heffalumps” are heavily decorated, with a theme derived from a poster, “Festival Elephant II”, by an unknown artist and found in the Fulcrum Gallery. Sadhana is the mother of Priya and Damayant. In India, the three names mean Devotion, Beloved and Flirt. Damayant is the baby holding his mother’s tail in his trunk. |
