| 257 | Jeanette Swanson I had a lot of neckties laying around gathering dust and thought I would put them to use in something my daughter could wear. The bodice is a black linen from pattern Butterick 5317 and the lower dress is piece together from the neckties. The cap sleeves are made from the wide part of two of the ties. The dress was easy because there wasn't any hemming to do but it was difficult working with the bias neckties and they tended to curve a little which I decided was a nice design feature. |
