| 256 | Eva Summers I design and make teddy bears. I have for years went to thrift shops and bought old coats to make bears from. This is a 14 inch bear made from one of the old mink coats. Old coats are hard to work with as most of the leather on these coats is quite dry so I line the bear with muslin. I do machine sew the bear add joints in the head, arms and legs and put on child safe eyes and nose. The feet are leather scrapes that I have bought at the flea market. |
