2009 National Sewing Month Contest Submissions

Once you sew all the way around, you cut around it (the sleeves will be cut off in this process). I pinned the bottom of the t shirt before sewing so it would not bunch up. For darker T-shirts (I made about five), I used a marker to mark them for guidance. That is optional. The collars of each T-shirt was used as casting. I cut a slit at the corner of each one and used either a drawstring cord or ribbon (I made about five). I used a safety pin at the end of the drawstring and ribbon and pulled it through the casting. The drawstring can either be used on one side or both sides.
