2009 National Sewing Month Contest Submissions

Rowland_Jennifer1.jpg - Jennifer Rowland This bag was made for a friend from her deceased mother's 1980's pink beaded party dress. Much of it is hand sewn to preserve all the beading. The closure is an 11 inch tubular frame from Ghee's. The bead work is on lace whick I over layed on the black skirting from the dress. The handle is plastic tubing wrapped with the same black fabric from the body of the skirt with strings of beads I made from the dress. The second bag is beaded lace applied to a plain black bag. Basically, it is just to document the use of the fabric.
