Nowland_JD1.JPG - JD Nowland I made this beach cover-up for my daughter from my husbands' old v neck x-large tshirt. She put her left arm through the neck opening and I cut off the right sleeve. I sewed a new side seam on the right side and sewed elastic to create an empire seam. The neatest trick was that the left sleeve ( staying attached to the tshirt ) was easily shaped and hand sewn into a great looking flower which I then painted. The finishing touch was cutting a slash in the right shoulder to create balance. Super easy project with a great result!
