Miller_Charlotte1.JPG - Charlotte Miller At an estate sale I found a peach colored dress with sweater top and Ultra-suede like skirt for $15.00. I tried it on but didn't like the way it fit so decided to transform it into a jacket. I used a thin fusible batting on the suede skirt pieces, along with the dress lining and channel quilted them together for the jacket body. The sweater sleeves were used "as is" in the dress for the jkt. A mandrian collar that I created from the suede skirt was attached with the bodice sweater knit as facing.A spearating zipper was applied. Small breast pocket again from suede with heavier ribbing from dress collar was added. I found a cording at the store that matched for bottom gathered tunnel.
