| 187 | Karen McFarland My dog traveled with me on a trip and due to the weather, she was unable to return with me. It was a really bad winter and she was stuck there for a few months. To give her a little something from home, I cut up four of my t-shirts and using some scrap fabric from around the house for the back and some leftover batting, I made a small patchwork quilt; just her size. Because the shirts were well used, they apparently still carried my scent. She would curl up on top of or under the blanket whenever she wanted to take a nap. Now whenever we travel I bring that quilt along so she has something from home that can serve as a blanket or mat. |
