Larson_Lois1.JPG - Lois Larson My wool jacket is recycled from 3 skirts and a jacket. The aqua wool was originally a wool knit skirt that had pin tucks woven into the knit. The teal sleeves, hood, and contrast pieces were parts of a wool knit suit. The aqua lining was originally a skirt. The only 2 items that I needed to purchase were 2 spools of thread. The rest of the supplies were either recycled or already in my stash. I had used the pattern before, but I modified it for this project. I added the contrasting teal band at the bottom. I also chose to use fabric loops made from the scraps instead of purchasing a zipper for the opening. I decided to combine the 2 other wool fabrics for the pockets.
