2009 National Sewing Month Contest Submissions

Hoskin_Teri1.JPG - Teri Hoskin My project consisted of taking old school uniforms and cheerleading outfits and turning them into two one-of-a-kind quilts. I took both of the school and cheerleading uniforms and ripped out all of the seams. I also very carefully removed the twill tape that lined the bottom of the cheerleading skirts. I then created two unique quilt tops by cutting squares out of the cheerleading outfits. The back of the quilt consisted of using the school uniform skirts. To finish up the quilts, I fussy cut the cheerleading logos that were too large, and strategically placed them on the quilt. I also used the twill tape to bind the quilt.
