2009 National Sewing Month Contest Submissions

Hollan_Cindy1.JPG - Cindy Hollan Jacket is constructed from Goodwill finds. The yellow pieces are from a brookstick skirt that still had the T J Max price tag and the blue was a lined linen jacket dress. The tough part was tearing everything apart so I could have a flat piece to what I call creative cutting. I used an old McCall pattern for this jacket. While constructing I tried not to waste a thing. I used the lining of the dress to line this jacket and I used the trim of the dress at the yoke pieces of the jacket. There were scraps left for the covered buttons.
