Darnell_Nancy1.jpeg - Nancy Darnell I made this suit, a skirt and jacket, from a beautiful tablecloth and napkins I found in an antique store. I drafted the pattern from my sloper. The damask pattern is matched at side seams, center front, and sleeve seams on the jacket, and side and back seams on the skirt. The jacket and skirt are lined. The jacket features three covered buttons. The skirt has an invisible back zipper with no waistband. The upturned cuffs and lapels are made from the napkins, which have the same reversible damask pattern in a smaller scale. The skirt is knee length, the jacket is wrist length, and the sleeves are three-quarter length with the cuffs turned up.
