Dalessandri_Karen.JPG - Karen D'Alessandri A Crazy Quilt sewing retreat spurred me to make this small quilt using the hand made and embroidered textiles that I've picked up at junk shops, yard sales and flea markets over the years. I enjoy restoring them and admiring their beautiful and intricate details. The center of this small quilt is a collar band surrounded by the edges of appliqued hankies, vintage trims, beads, laces, buttons, appliques and broken bits of jewelry that always seem to find their way into my stash! This quilt is one of a set of six (I also made one in pink, yellow, green, blue and multi).
