| 47 | Barbara Byrnes I had a nice expensive sheepskin car seat cover which was part real skin and part fake fur, but I machine washed it on the wrong setting and ruined it, then decided to dry it out and recycle it. Cut and glued some of the real skin to the bed of a pair of flip flops. They're comfortable and warm even in the winter. Used the back piece of the fake fur to make a cushion for my computer chair and had the edge left, which was about 6 inches wide and professionally finished on one side. I added some left over elastic to the other side and made a custom steering wheel cover for my car from it, which fits it perfectly and keeps the wheel cool - and looks much better on the car than on me! |
