Baranowski_Diane1.jpg - Diane Baranowski I purchased "gently used" pair of children's jeans.I used trial and error to determine the width of the purse strap and then decided to line it with the paisley fabric. As I'm into "glitz", I selected an embroidery design that most closely mimiced the paisley design and embroidered the design at the slash pocket, adding glitz. I did it in such a way as to keep the pocket open for use, rather than sewing the pocket shut. When it came time to make the purse lining, I just kept making linings until I made one that fit. I started out quite large and kept cutting it down until it was right. Finally, I made a sash of the paisely fabric and put it through the belt loops of the jeans.
