Anthony_Cynthia1.jpg - Cynthia E Anthony I have been using the wheelchair tote pattern on the charitable sewing pattern page for a service project. I used denim jeans and cut the denim off the seams for 4 long strips of denim. I cut the denim in specific lengths depending on the project. So this wheelchair totes required 2 18"x18" squares of fabric. I cut the denim in 18" strips and then sewed the strips together until I had a piece 18" wide as well. Since the denim has raw wedges, the wheelchair caddie needed a lining. So I took the mens cotton button front shirt. I gleaned all the usable chucks of fabric from the fronts, back, and sleeves. The caddie handles are also recycled denim.
